The jury returned a verdict against both defendants in favor of Rita Johnson for the sum of $100,000 compensatory damages and $125,000 punitive damages. Ronald Johnson, the husband of Rita Johnson, was awarded the sum of $75,000 as compensatory damages in his claim for his wifes medical expenses, etc. and consortium.
